Wrist Band FAQs
Can I wash my Wrist Band? Will washing affect the quality?
Yes, you can wash your Wrist Band without affecting the quality. Although constructed with machine washable materials, we recommend hand washing and air drying. Washing instructions can be found on the care tag located under the base of the Velcro strap.
What material is the Wrist Band strap made of? Is it something more substantial than neoprene?
We have found that an elastic material, like neoprene, will not provide the support and stability people with TFCC injuries or DRUJ instability need. Our pad is a non-elastic performance material that consists of an inner layer that wicks perspiration away from the skin. The middle layer is a spacer fabric that provides excellent padding. The outer layer is durable nylon mesh that provides lightweight structure and stability. The fastening strap is a non-elastic hook and loop nylon material.
Are the ends of the Wrist Band supposed to touch to fit properly?
It is not necessary for the ends to touch when wearing the wrist band as long as the gap is not more than about an inch, which would require the next larger size.
My wrist circumference is 5.5" and I'm not sure which size Wrist Band to order.
Since your wrist is a borderline size, it depends on how much compression you want around your wrist. The S/M will be better if you prefer gentle compression. The XS might be better if you prefer a tighter fit. If not sure, I would try the S/M first. Feel free to exchange it for the other size if that doesn’t work for you.
My wrist circumference is 7" and I'm not sure which size Wrist Band to order.
Since your wrist is a borderline size, it depends on how much compression you want on the ulnar head. If the size of your ulnar head does not significantly protrude from your wrist, the S/M may be better. Feel free to exchange it for the other size if that doesn’t work for you.
I have a split tear of the extensor carpi ulnaris tendon, will this brace help?
Although we designed the Bullseye Wrist Band primarily for TFCC injuries and DRUJ instabilities, my clinical advisers have had some success using it for ECU problems as well. To be sure, you should consult your medical professional. Meanwhile, you could try it and if it does not work, return it to get a full refund.
Is the Wrist Band effective for all types of wrist pain?
The Bullseye Wrist Band was not designed to treat Flexor Carpi Ulnaris Tendonitis (FCU), De Quervain’s tenosynovitis, Ganglion cysts, or carpal tunnel syndrome. Please consult your medical professional for alternative treatments.
